Parlour at Blagdon Wedding, Newcastle, Gina and Jamie
Well what can I say about the fabulous Gina and Jamie. There simply aren’t enough words, what a day I had with them. It started out with a bit of sketchy mist rain which thankfully moved on and left us with a clear could day which is perfect for the Parlour at Blagdon as it’s very much an outdoor venue, though the new shelter area is a great addition if it does rain.
Gina looked incredible in her Alexandra Grecco; Lilou Gown + Floral Cap Sleeves & Train – Absolute showstopper. Jamie rocked his bespoke custom fit suit from the guys at Woven in Durham. Together they looked amazing.
These guys knew what they wanted to make their special day the best it could be and they smashed it out the park. Gina even brought a little number for an evening change to allow for the shapes to be busted on the dance floor.
I would personally love to say I loved the table dressing from Bird Cages and Dragonflies – it looked fabulous and tied in with everything so well, go and not to forget the bridesmaids who all wore different colour gowns – brilliant idea.
Anyway I’ve waffled on enough, Gina and Jamie thanks so much for having me document your day and without further ado…
Here are some of my favourite moments from Gina + Jamie’s Parlour at Blagdon Wedding in Newcastle!
We picked Ray to do our photos after looking at LOADS of other local photographers, and decided on him after reading his approach to relaxed and un-posed photos. We felt he had really captured the joy of the day in his work. On the day, Ray was firstly very professional and friendly.
He made everyone feel at ease (particularly us – the nervous bride and groom!) and everyone enjoyed interacting with him throughout the day. Everything flowed very well, and we didn’t feel at all as though we were away from the party, even when he did his very short section of portraits.
Following the wedding breakfast Ray previewed a surprising amount of shots he had taken and edited on the day which became a memorable part of the day and we were able to share with our top table. When you’re in your bubble the following day it’s lovely having something to share online so quickly. It was a gloomy day, but Ray brought the tools so we could have a few sunny shots and roped in a groomsman to help – ensuring we didn’t miss out on this in the great British spring.
As the evening went on, Ray stayed to capture the evening celebrations as we all got increasingly more merry – there are some fantastic candid shots that we would have missed had Ray not captured them – and have a good laugh at these when we take a look at them. We barely noticed he was there on the night time, however judging from the photos he seemed to be everywhere to really capture the spirit of the evening.
Ray gave us access to all of the edited pictures in less than a week, which we enjoyed on honeymoon. We are absolutely over the moon we chose Ray to capture our day! Everyone has commented on how fantastic the pictures are, and we couldn’t have better photographs to relive the day from. Thank you for being part of our Parlour at Blagdon Wedding.”
