Jesmond Dene House Wedding, Newcastle, Amy and Iain

Autumnal colours at this Jesmond Dene House Wedding

Jesmond Dene House set right in the heart of Newcastle was the venue of choice for Amy and Iain and it was a blast. The weather was glorious and the dene had some brilliant colours for the time of year.

Cool story though bitter sweet, this was the last wedding I used my drone at (I have a new one now). It’s still there stuck in the top of a tree or the wind has blew it free and its now testing the waterproofing in the dene. Ah well, at least I managed to get the images off the drone via wi-fi connection before I left. These things happen.

Apart from the drone mishap the day was brilliant and everyone had such a good day. The decor and details of the tables etc and the little touches were top notch. It’s worth stating I have a new drone now ha-ha.

Great to work with John at Top Table Films on this wedding. Make sure to check him out.

Just a few minutes walk from Jesmond Dene House is the stunning grounds of Jesmond Dene, a nature reserve boasting beautiful views and a variety of walks. The area is full of lush trees, meandering pathways and even a babbling brook with its own waterfall – perfect for a 5 minute stroll for some couple portraits during the wedding. You can see a shot or two below from the waterfall.

I’m a strong believer in the following statement… ’It’s a wedding, not a photoshoot’ – I want my Images and creativity to tell your story as honestly as I can without posing and staging. On your wedding day I aim to become a guest at the wedding but with expensive gear and a good eye. Talking, laughing and having a good time with your friends and family is very important, the more relaxed they are the more authentic the Images. I want your Images to appear honest, genuine to the moment and completely relaxed. So if you’re getting married at Jesmond Dene House please get in touch to check my availability.

The location of Jesmond Dene House is ideal, as it is close to the countryside while still being close to the heart of the city. The hotel staff appreciates the hotel’s tranquilly and does not take it for granted. All of this fuels the staff’s dedication to making you, the visitors, feel welcome and cared for. Because it is privately owned, Jesmond Dene House can cater to your specific needs and whims. When you make a request, the staff will do what they can to fulfil it.

“Absolutely amazing. we have just finished going through all our images. we’ve laughed and cried re-living the day. these pictures are full of love, happiness and fun and we will treasure them forever.”
