When you hire two different photo and video teams, you need to double the time for formal wedding photos and video formals. Hybrid coverage gives you more time to enjoy your wedding and less time worrying about a wedding timeline. Two lots of Zoom calls, two lots of contracts, two supplier meals, two+ people following you around all day. You get the idea right! When it's just me doing hybrid guests rarely know there is a film being made.

Unfortunately when working with dedicated videographers they often position themselves where I would like to be or at times I cant get the shot i really want as i'd be in the way of their cameras etc. When i provide both photo and video I don't have these restrictions and can get exactly what i want. I've literally had to photograph over the top of a videographers head in a ceremony before. not the best.

Ok I know dedicated videographers need multiple angles and thus require tripods but some videographers have 4-6 tripods limiting my movements or positions as in the creative freedom point but also all of the tripods often end up in my photographs which i then have to try and remove in post which isn't always possible.

You get my skills, knowledge, creative eye, compositions in both photo and video with ONE relaxed authentic and fun style approach. Couples book me for a relaxed vibe with a large focus on natural moments and little to no posing but will hire a videographer with a completely different style who may like to pose a lot of their shots. It's not the best fit. Hybrid ensures you get a consistent approach and style as it's all from me.

The main drawbacks to hybrid coverage is I am only one person, I cannot film every key element as photos always take priority such as the first kiss. I cannot offer to record the full ceremony at present. I can record the full speeches as a paid add-on. If you require a more comprehensive video package which includes full recordings of everything I would recommend you book a dedicated videographer for me to work with.
